Wizdom Powell awarded the Loren Frankel Research Award


Wizdom Powell-Hammond, PhD, MPH, a current scholar with the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Health & Society Scholars Program, just returned from the American Psychological Association Meeting in
New Orleans where she received the Loren Frankel Research Award from Division 51 for her dissertation work.


This is an annual award for the most outstanding dissertation addressing issues faced by boys and men.  Her dissertation title is


Preventive Behavior Among African American Men: Historical barriers, psychosocial factors, and implications for patient-provider relationships.
